2025 Wuling Zhiguang EV Version Comparison

The 2025 Wuling Zhiguang EV is a compact four-seat electric multi-purpose vehicle with two manual sliding side doors, rear-wheel drive and a cabin that can change from passenger use to light-cargo support. Standard and Comfort versions use a 17.7 kWh battery with 201 km CLTC range; the Advanced version increases battery capacity to 30.6 kWh and range to 305 km.

All three versions share the same 30 kW motor, 85 N-m torque and 100 km/h maximum speed. The real selection points are operating radius, seat-folding flexibility, external power and safety equipment. The Comfort Version Changes the Vehicle's Working Role

The Standard and Comfort versions use the same 17.7 kWh battery and carry the same 201 km CLTC rating. The Standard version is the entry route for predictable local movement where the lowest acquisition cost matters more than equipment.

The Comfort version adds a fully flat front passenger seat, rear 12V outlet and 220V AC output. These are not cosmetic upgrades. They can support a technician carrying long equipment, a mobile retail operator, a service crew or a delivery user who needs a flat loading route and power for low-demand tools. For working buyers, Comfort may therefore deliver more usable value than Standard without paying for the larger battery.

Advanced is the range and safety upgrade. Its 30.6 kWh pack raises the official figure to 305 km and it adds the front-passenger airbag, reverse camera, LED headlights and 7-inch instrument display. Motor output remains unchanged, so the larger battery does not create stronger loaded acceleration or a higher maximum speed.

Four Registered Seats, Not a Certified Panel Van

The Zhiguang EV is supplied as a four-seat vehicle. Folding the rear seats creates a larger loading area, and the Comfort and Advanced front passenger seats can fold flat, but this does not automatically change the legal vehicle class or create a certified payload figure. Import registration, cargo permissions and commercial-use rules must follow the destination country's approved documents.

The physical access is genuinely useful. Published vehicle information gives a 595 mm sliding-door opening, a tailgate opening angle close to 90 degrees, 527 L of luggage volume with the seats in use and up to 1117 L after folding. Multiple threaded mounting points can support organizers and racks, but any shelving or restraint system should be checked against total mass, secure mounting and local conversion rules.

Choose 201km or 305km From the Daily Route

The recurring buyer question is whether 201 km is enough after air conditioning, repeated stops, cargo and an uncertain charger are added. CLTC is a laboratory rating rather than a guaranteed working-day distance. Payload, speed, temperature, road gradient, cabin cooling and the battery reserve kept by the operator all change usable range.

Begin with the longest normal round trip, add the distance of a missed delivery or charger detour, and retain a practical reserve. A 201 km version can work for depot vehicles with short urban rounds and overnight charging. The 305 km version is safer where routes vary, charging is less dependable or the vehicle must complete more work before returning.

All three versions support AC and DC charging, with an official 30%-80% DC time of 35 minutes. Before export, verify the vehicle-side connector, local charger protocol, voltage, earthing and adapter plan. Fast charging on the specification sheet is only useful when it matches the destination infrastructure.

Urban Utility With Clear Highway Limits

A 30 kW rear motor, 85 N-m and 100 km/h maximum speed position this vehicle for city streets, industrial parks, campuses, local delivery and mobile services. It is not the right platform for frequent high-speed intercity work, unsupported heavy-payload claims or steep loaded routes without an actual trial.

The compact 165/65 R13 tires make local tire availability, correct load rating and pressure control worth checking before fleet deployment. Rear-wheel drive can help keep weight over the driven wheels as the vehicle is loaded, but it does not remove the need for careful wet-road operation, suitable tires and a loaded brake test.
